Day 1: Malaga, Spain

Welcome to Spain’s famous Costa del Sol and the 3,000-year-old city of Malaga. A favourite among Europeans, this destination is renowned for its sunshine, rich history and vibrant artistic spirit. Savour local delights like tinto de verano, a refreshing chilled summer wine, and stroll through streets adorned with stunning architectural treasures.

This afternoon, you’ll board your 6-star, ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht for your Signature Yacht Cruise. After exploring your spacious suite, enjoy a drink on your private verandah and toast the start of this enriching journey.

Day 2: Gibraltar, UK

This morning, you’ll arrive in Gibraltar. Dominating the mouth of the Mediterranean, Gibraltar is a natural fortress. The skyline is dominated by the imposing Rock of Gibraltar, a 426-metre-high limestone promontory. On the streets below, explore dozens of British stores and traditional pubs, and marvel that you’re a stone’s throw from Spain.

During the late evening cruise through the Gibraltar Strait, witness the stunning view of Europe and Africa's lights twinkle on the horizon. This unique sight highlights the beauty of the historic passage and is a must-see experience.

Day 3: Tangier, Morocco

At the northwestern tip of the African continent lies Tangier, guarding the Strait of Gibraltar where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. Known as the White City for its whitewashed houses lining winding streets, Tangier has been shaped by numerous cultures and civilisations over the centuries. The strong Spanish influence makes it a prime example of Spanish-Moorish architecture. Today, Tangier is a bustling modern port and the busiest in the Mediterranean.

Day 4: At Sea

Wake up to endless ocean views from your private verandah and start your day at a leisurely pace, perhaps with a barista-made coffee delivered by your butler.

Spend the afternoon at your own pace. Soak in the Vitality pool or indulge in a rejuvenating spa treatment# at the serene Senses Spa. At the Azure Bar & Café, enjoy a relaxed lunch with new friends as the sea drifts by.

As evening falls, sip a handcrafted cocktail at one of the eight bars and lounges or retreat to the privacy of your suite for a relaxing nightcap.

Day 5: Porto Santo, Portugal > Funchal, Portugal

Boasting one of Europe’s finest golden-sand beaches, Porto Santo is a serene escape of golden shores and blue waters, perfect for relaxation. The island’s renowned 9-kilometre beach is believed to have therapeutic qualities, with its sand and waters rich in iodine, calcium, and magnesium, making it ideal for soothing rheumatism and bone ailments.

By evening, Scenic Eclipse II glides into the enchanting harbour of Funchal, where the twinkling lights of Madeira’s capital city create a breathtaking welcome. With an overnight stay in port, you will have the opportunity to experience the island’s charm after dark.

Day 6: Funchal, Portugal

Funchal became a popular holiday destination for the European aristocracy in the 19th century and the city still retains this air of busy prosperity. The grand boulevards and charming squares of West Funchal are home to boutique shops, excellent restaurants and interesting museums. Gritty East Funchal has been transformed into a hip neighbourhood packed with buzzing bars and trendy galleries. On its edge is the vibrant Mercado dos Lavradores market, bursting with local produce. The city is famous for its gardens, so plan a visit to the Madeira Botanical Garden, Monte Tropical Gardens and Santa Catarina Park.

Day 7: Funchal, Portugal

As the final day in Funchal begins, there’s no better way to say goodbye to Madeira than by joining one of the Scenic Freechoice activities or leisurely exploring this stunning island city.

Day 8: Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain

Today, your journey concludes in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a vibrant island paradise. As you disembark from your ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht and bid farewell to the crew and newfound friends, feel a deep sense of renewal and tranquillity.
