Day 3: Robinson Crusoe Island, Chile
Located within the Juan Fernandez Archipelago, the volcanic wonderland of Robinson Crusoe Island will captivate you just as it did Daniel Defoe. The author heard the story of a Scottish sailor, Alexander Selkirk, who was voluntarily marooned here for two years and immortalised his tale, and the island, in his legendary book, published in 1719.
True to his description, the island is a captivating lost paradise where you can swim in crystal-clear waters and discover its rich, diverse array of flora represented by more than 130 endemic species.

Day 24: Palmerston Island, Cook Islands
One of the most remote communities in the world, Palmerston Island lies within a brilliant turquoise lagoon formed by a coral atoll in the northern Cook Islands. Six small islets sit within an 11-kilometre-wide ring of reef, creating a protected haven rich in marine life.
Originally known as Avarau, meaning “200 harbours”, the island was sighted by Captain James Cook in 1774 and later named for Lord Palmerston of the British Admiralty. Today, fewer than 60 residents live here, most descended from Englishman William Marsters, a ship’s carpenter who settled in 1863.

Disembark in Lautoka, Fiji's second largest city, located on the western side of the island of Viti Levu, 24 kilometres north of Nadi. As the gateway to Fiji's Sun Coast, it's a pleasant mix of sugar-cane fields, grass-covered peaks, rural villages, and market towns.
